'Iran wants Trump dead, so that...', sensation created by the claim of US Intelligence Director
Intelligence officials have warned Republican candidate for the US presidential election Donald Trump about threats. On Tuesday, US intelligence officials informed the former president about alleged assassination threats coming from Iran. During this, it has been said that Trump's life is in danger.
"President Trump was briefed this morning by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) on threats to assassinate him from Iran. Those attempting to do so seek to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States," Trump's campaign team said in a statement.
'The danger has increased in the last few days'
Trump's team said intelligence officials had identified that Iranian threats had "increased in recent months" and US government officials were working to protect Trump and prevent any influence on the election.
Iran has previously denied US claims of interfering in American affairs. Iran's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York and the ODNI did not respond to attempts late Tuesday night.
There have been attempts to assassinate Trump before
The gunman accused of plotting to kill Donald Trump at a Florida golf course was charged Tuesday with three more counts, including attempting to murder a major presidential candidate. In addition to attempting to murder a presidential candidate, the new charges include possession of a gun in furtherance of a violent crime and assaulting a federal officer, who court documents revealed was a Secret Service agent.
According to an AFP report, while looking ahead during Trump's golf game, a Secret Service agent spotted Routh's gun sticking out of the bushes. The agent fired at the suspect, who fled the scene but was later captured.
Let us tell you that this was the second deadly attack on Donald Trump in recent times. The first attack took place on July 13 at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when a gunman opened fire. During this, one person died and Trump suffered an injury in his ear.
